Rewrite, rewrite, and rewrite again!
Verney seems to be back on track. This second draft feels a lot quicker, and more “action-packed”, and still seems to have that suspense feel I originally wanted. Don’t want to give anything away, but I am developing a bit of a twist for the end of this movie. It’s still suppose to be a short film, 10 minutes or less, but I also don’t want it to feel cramped with action sequences.
I just want to shoot something! I have this idea in my head, and I can see all the scenes. I can’t wait to actually take out the camera and begin putting it all together. The weather and the amount of sun we get right now in Vancouver is actually perfect for the setting of this film. I hope I can wrap up this pre-production business in time to take advantage of everything. I really want to use my 4 days off for Christmas to work on this project.
The only difference between the project now and the original one I had in mind is that originally, it was supposed to be a one man project. Acting, shooting, and everything else done by me and me alone. With some of the sequences I want, and some of the settings I put in there, I no longer think…no, I know it is not possible. Perhaps someone will become interested in working on this project with me.
