MAYBE THIS IS A REVELATION
I’ve been looking around for some ways to improve the site. Aside from the obvious layout issue, which I still have yet to crack, there are a few widgets to add and a couple more quirks to tag on. Like renovating a house, trial and error might cause too many problems. It’s probably a better to consult gurus who’ve been playing this game for a while. Especially if you are like me, new to this blogging phenomenon. The Velvet Blues blog always has an interesting article up there everyday. Even if it’s one with no relation to blogging, I find myself pretty immersed on that site. GrowMap offers tips and a bit of info on not just growing your blog, but an online business. I am also a fan of Pixelhead Online, a site providing insight into Search Engine Optimization (I only recently learnt what SEO meant!)
The connectivity issue I’ve been experiencing with the PC was solved last night through some very simple ingenuity. I moved the keyboard and mouse three feet closer. While this limits my range of freedom in the same way cables do, there is consolation that I do not have to acknowledge their presence, or risk the very possibility of them ending up as a noose around my neck. After this technological devolvement, Fable became much more enjoyable. I pondered on the condition of my sanity for not having dived into game sooner, because it is absolutely stunning. It shipped in 2005 for the PC and its graphics are comparable to that of today’s. While 3 years might not be lengthy, it is millenias in the digital world. I am a fan of taking responsibility for my actions in the game. Whether I decide to kill a chicken or aid children in retrieving lost play things factors into my the outcome of my character, though for the most part, it really becomes only a vanity issue. Nevertheless, this is creative game play. I am very curious for Fable 2, and whether or not they etended you actions into playing a part in the development of the storyline as well.
In my previous post, depression might’ve been too strong of word to use. I can assure you that I am not drinking myself to sleep or trading services from my penis for narcotics to mentally crawl out of a desolate pit. In fact, I rarely dwell on my current predicaments when I hop into bed at night. What irritates me about my situation is my lack “cahunas” to grab the career I want, and trying to settle for the safe bets. If I had to, I will somehow find the courage and idiocracy to go down to a swamp and punch a alligatro right in it’s nose, yet when it comes to life alterning opportunities, I play possum. Why am I trying to find a steady job in a cushy office, when all I want to do is play with a camera and tell a story?
I’m in a similar situation, or I was until recently. I’ve had blogs, but never delved much into the customizing, themes and plugins before. Here’s a post I did with my top ten favorite plugins. Check it out and feel free to ask me any questions you may have. I’d be happy to pass on what I’ve learned…

Another one I recommend that didn’t make it into that list is this:

I’ve been working on this challenge for a long time and have many suggestions to share. The highest priorities for any blog are adding the ability for your readers to subscribe and comment. I used a link to a post that covers the optimum plugins for that in the link to this comment.
Don’t forget to use Akismet so when your blog gets more popular with commentators and/or listed better in the search engines you won’t go crazy dealing with SPAM.
Another high priority is to add All-in-one-SEO to optimize your blog for the search engines – and then take the time to actually fill in the extra information on every post.
If you’re really going to be serious you may want to consider going to an upgraded and supported theme before you start adding plugins. I can offer links to reviews of a couple of the most admired if you’re interested.
Well, first of all, thanks for the mention. And I am glad that you know all about SEO now.
As for your job choice, that is always the struggle. Do what we love (can we find it, will it pay high enough) OR take the obvious ‘cushy position’ that we might not be too excited about. Good luck.
