AN OLD FLAME
No no no, this is not the “new” look to the site. This is not the Prodigal design I have been ranting about for the last several post. Despite my less than half empty glass of HTML, CSS, XML, PHP, XTML, XXX, BMX, and the other starry number of code in our digital universe, I possess more than this meager ability which lies before you. The look is only temporary, as my wits are locked in my mental sweat shop, putting together pieces of a puzzle that will become a more permanent fixture.
Most of my days are spent in locked in my room, mixing beakers and test tubes of words and phrases. The end result? I am not sure. I could be creating Frankenstein or just The Blob. Only time will tell.
Writing aside, movies, video games and reading dominate my life the way printing money (metaphorically of course) dominates Bill Gates’. The PS3 console recently journeyed downstairs. It has decided to leave the exiguous 32′ in my room for the chiseled bare chest and wash board abs of the 52′ in the den. So apparently, size does matter. Nevertheless, this has given me the opportunity to court my DS Lite once more. And courting is the appropriate term to use, as it refused to pleasure and satisfy my digital cravings until I charged and cleaned it. All in all, the 49 cents spent on the Lysol wipe and few watts of power made it a pretty cheap date.
I do not remember the last time I am as captured by a DS game as I am with Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass. It tells a good story, and combines it with a simple use of the touchpad. The puzzles within the game feels natural, and not forced upon you. I am not adverse to the utilization of brain waves when indulging in a video game, but a car that won’t start unless you correctly tell it how many time times three of the same number shows up consecutively on a 24 hour clock in one day is lazy integration to me, and ultimlately devalues the game play. If you were to ask me the same riddle, and the answer is the password to a safe which holds the key that can start the car? Now we are in business.
lol. So I’m totally not a gamer, but nonetheless, this was an amusing read.
Good luck with your WordPress overhaul. One easy way to get the job done is to grab a free theme and then spruce it up with a custom header.
Btw, 32″ is inadequate? lol. You should check out my 12″.
Actually, since I spend most of my time online, the only large monitors that I have sit on my desk. Twin 22″s, and a third on the way.
